PFHL Playoff Round 1: Aquajock vs. PantherCult

Fixer and Professor Ivo have teamed up to create an anti-gravity device that is creating havoc all over the world! This looks like a job for… somebody else!

That’s because your team is too busy defending your turf against the bullies from another playground. But man, this low-gravity business sure is fun!


PLAYOFF ROUND 1 SCENARIO: Low Gravity, 500 points
MAP: Crime Alley (OAP 2 – Outdoor Map)

Last Day for Play is ???

SCENARIO RULES:

1. Because of the low gravity, all characters will have, in addition to whatever powers they normally have, the Leap/Climb and Super Strength powers. These powers are considered to be on the dial and may be Outwitted.

2. Characters that already have the Leap/Climb ability may add 2 to their normal speed. This is considered an adjustment to the value on the dial.

3. Characters with Charge and Running Shot (or special powers that grant Charge or Running Shot) ignore hindering terrain for movement and may ignore elevated terrain as if they were also moving with Leap/Climb. The restriction of cutting your movement in half while using Charge or Running Shot is not changed.

4. Characters that already have the Super Strength ability will be able to carry two objects instead of one (however, they can still only use one object in combat per turn). Flying characters with Super Strength may only carry one object if they are also carrying character(s). Characters with Hypersonic Speed may not carry more than one object (even if they have Super Strength).

5. Any thrown objects using Super Strength can travel twice the usual range.

6. All flying characters (and/or Transporters) may carry up to two figures. However, if the flying character does not also have Super Strength, he may not carry an object along with two characters.

7. Characters that suffer knockback are knocked back at double the normal distance, including use of the Force Blast power.

8. Both captains roll for initiative. The high roller may choose the map edge to deploy on and may deploy first or second. Don’t forget the theme team bonus impacts the roll for initiative in this league. Whoever deploys second moves first. Both Captains must place three heavy and three light objects during their deployment.

9. The match ends after 10 rounds. Count Victory Points for each Captain to determine the winner, as detailed in the Heroclix Rule Book. If after 10 rounds there is a tie in Victory Points, continue playing for full rounds until one Captain has more Victory Points than the other.

And so I move first and we begin the fun....

[free] Dazzler will perplex Black Knight's range to 1.

[1] Black Knight will do a transporter attack, picking up the Heavy Object from G4 on his way, he will pause at C10 to shoot and destroy the LO at C11, before ending his move at B9/C9. Knight will ICWO his defense value.

[2] Silver Surfer will hoist Merlyn with him and will go all HSS style - grabbing the HO from F4, pausing at D9 to shoot and destroy the LO at D11, before settling at C10 and dropping Merlyn at D11. Surfer will also ICWO his defense.

[3] Gargoyle will pick up Dazzler, will grab the HO from H4 as he flutters to D9, setting Dazz at D10.

It's not like you got ashabby team over there, surfer is downright scary and he's back up with pieces that are incrediably point effienct and strong

1. MOn-el will grab Citizen and go to R14 and S14 after grabbing the HO at Q22

free move. Photon to P16 after grabbing the HO at S22

2. Steel will grab Manticore and go to R15 and Q14

3. Brainiac will go to Q16

4. zatanna will try and hide over at T15

Well, you left me some bait... and I think I'm just going to take it and see what happens.

[free]Dazzler perplexes Silver Surfer's move to 12.

[1] Gargoyle pushes, grabbing Dazzler, and flies to I17, setting the singer at I18.

[2] Silver Surfer will ICWO movement to 13, pick up Merlyn and will go HSS style to O16 where he will try to drop the heavy object on Photon's head. AV 11 vs DV 16+1. Need a 6 or better and no super senses to deal 6 clicks.

She doesn't quite dodge and Monica is KO'd.

[2b] Surfer will use that last bit of ICWO'd move to grab the heavy dropped by Photon and then drop down to N16, setting Merlyn at O17.

I think that's all we've got this turn.

Also.... I was just noticing, but I need some help figuring out how Brainiac 5 and Zatanna got to the rooftop? The rookie Brainiac and Zatanna LE both only have a 6 movement. They started in Row 23, so would both be able only to get to row 17, I think - unless there's something I'm missing.

your right, sorry about there movement, i would have put them at
Brainiac at V17 and zatanna at W17 to be out of the ranged HSS attack on Surfer

if that's alright cool, if you want to change anything that's good as well, man are they slugs
